What is EMP Jammer?

EMP is defined as Electro Magnetic Pulse. Emp jammer is a simple high peak pulse generator. We know current flowing through the conductor generates the magnetic field around the conductor. If we supply current with intervals it generates field pulses on the conductor, field increases suddenly and decreases. If we apply current pulses it generates high electromagnetic field pulses. These high-intensity pulses induce into devices and damages the device.

To make EMP jammer you require, a high voltage generator, coil, and switch. You can find the block diagram below.

In the block diagram, you can see a gap in one wire, it is called as the spark gap. As our need is to generate pulses this spark gap is used. When the high voltage is generated, it tries to jump from one terminal of spark gap to another terminal, which leads to generating EMP. The spark gap must be 2mm to 3mm. 1. Take out the circuit out of the mosquito zapper.

2. Make a coil of 3-4 turns of hookup wire.

3. Solder one wire of coil to the anyone terminal of the capacitor at the output.

4. Glue another wire of coil near the another terminal of the capacitor at a distance of 2 mm or less than it.This is to create a spark gap.

5. Solder wire to circuit activating the switch to extend the switch out of the case.

6. Place the circuit in the case carefully and turn on the circuit and close the case.

7. Apply glue on the case then fix the switch and solder activating switch extending the wire to it.

8. Now apply a piece double sided tape to the case and fix the battery.

Two 555 CMOS timer ICs generate pulses. IC1 is used to generate the clock pulses for the entire electronic slot machine. The pulses are coupled from the output (pin 3) to the clock inputs of IC4, IC5, and 1C6, the display-driver ICs. The displays are common-cathode 7-segment LED types. They are wired to display three different symbols, an L, a 7, and bar, When all three displays show the same symbols, IC7 (a 4023 triple 3-iriput NAND gate) decodes a winner and sends a signal to pin 5 of IC3. That IC is a 4001 CMOS NOR gate and it turns on IC2, a 555 timer IC. IC2 actually produces the winner tone on its output, pin 3. Transistors Q4 through Q12 are used to drive the common-cathode displays. An LED is used to indicate the clock pulses, and a variable resistor is provided for each of these functions. Trimmer resistor PI controls the overall clock rate, P2 controls the winner tone, and P3 controls the display brilliance.
